About Us

We bought Rockin' N Stables on October 15, 2013. We were excited to make our dreams a reality. The house was unlivable, the fence was not horse safe, the pasture and yard needed brush hogged and we had no boarders. We no idea what we were getting ourselves into. All we knew was Monte wanted to train horses and I wanted to give riding lessons. We were scared to death but saddling up anyway.

The first month was spent getting the house livable, while we both worked full-time. The second month we owned the farm Shannon brought her horse Ginger to board with us and then we were on our way to living our dream. The first year brought challenges as we both worked off the farm. We remodeled most of the house as well as having horsemanship clinics and establishing both riding and training programs. We both worked hard, if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.

In 2014, I left my job for full-time work on the farm. We installed a new five strand vinyl coated fence. The fence was necessary to acquire the boarders we needed. The new fence is horse safe. Build it and they will come, and they did!

When we bought our farm, Monte would say, we only need two barns full of horses. We are currently filling up our third barn. We have amazing people here. They are not only our boarders, but they are also our family and our friends. We all enjoy trail rides, summer picnics, and parties.

While I have been busy building our horse herd, Monte has been busy building our cattle herd. Yes, we sell beef. We sell registered Angus beef. Our beef are usually ready in the fall. We sell whole, half or quarter.

Here we are in 2021! I am not exactly sure how we got so lucky. Our farm is busting at the seams with lesson students, training horses, and boarders. We enjoy having our monthly shows, benefits, birthday parties, roping practices, and sortings. We are in the process of putting together our Horses Healing Humans grief assistance program as well as our woman's retreat. This year we will host our first wedding! Talk about exciting!

Stay tuned because, the best is yet to come.
